Hi to all our members,
May has proved a very adventurous month starting with the commencement of the match plays for main club and seniors underway.
We are well on track to delivering the Sponsorship Project which has been operational for the past 2 years, but due to the pandemic it had to be put on the back burner. The tee boards have been delivered and this mainly due to the hard work of the committee. We have a few tee boards still on offer for sponsorship, so if any member knows of any local businesses who might be interested, please contact myself for details and a copy of the flyer. Get a name and I will follow up with you.
Most of us who are using the app are finding it easy to use, however there are some teething problems that Scottish Golf are working flat out to eliminate.
We were pleased to have our first open on the 9th May. This was well subscribed with entries coming from various clubs in Scotland. Our next open is now full and hope that we have good weather on the 12th June to allow our 4 person Texas Scramble to be a success.
The sad news, as we know was the death of our past Captain, Neil Shanks, who after a service at St Giles in Kennoway, attended by many of his friends from Scoonie, was laid to rest in Scoonie Cemetry. The wake was held in our Clubhouse. He will be a sad loss to our club.
We are now at Level 1 but it isn’t time for complacency. We still need to adhere to all the regulations in force, namely sanitising, mask wearing whilst walking about the building and maintaining the one-way system. Most importantly is completing the Track and Trace forms should you be using the restaurant.
